The largest and considered to be the premier tradeshow for the building products and services industry, the International Builders’ Show takes place in Las Vegas each February. A fantastic opportunity to learn more about the latest industry trends, it’s also a chance to reconnect with current and past clients. Filled with informative meetings, product demonstrations, and innovations, this year’s show had a clear focus on sustainability. Showcased were products that leave a smaller carbon footprint and provide lighter weight solutions, in addition to offering new techniques to save time and money on projects. Some of the new stand out products included: easy & affordable home elevator systems, water vapor electric fireplaces, and mechanically fed paint brushes.
In addition to taking in all the show has to offer, I had the pleasure of supporting Dr. Dario Cervalleti CEO of an Italian-based paint innovator - Ferrara Designs. Thread has been working with Dr. Cervalleti to help gain U.S. market entry for his unique paint products. Meetings with notable Fortune 500 companies in attendance, including Owens Corning, Masonite, Fortune Brands, and several others allowed Ferrara Designs to pique the interest of key individuals. And the “North America Go-To-Market Strategies” private session led to insights presented by notable, established distributors, interior designers, and business consultants which was well-worth the time and investment.
Thread has been working with Ferrara Designs since early 2023 to introduce this unique paint product to North America. Using our network of contacts in Northwest Ohio, the initial entry into the US market has been well received. Efforts have garnered local press activity and a partnership with SSOE, one of the nation's largest Engineering + Architecture firms, for their headquarters renovation, as well as, outfitting the local St Jude's Charity home dining room with a striking faux finish using Ferrara Designs paint.
The IBS show is always an enjoyable and worthwhile trip to Las Vegas. But the ability to help our clients make meaningful connections makes it even more special.
